Klara Mårtensson graduated from the Swedish Ballet School in her hometown Gothenburg, and at the Oslo Academy of the Arts.

She received the Stora Daldansen award in 2010 and 2012, and the Prix de Lausanne in 2011.

Klara began as an aspirant at the Norwegian National Ballet in 2012, becoming a member of the Norwegian National Ballet UNG in 2015.

Currently a permanent member of the Norwegian National Ballet, Klara has danced in works by: Jo Strømgren, Marit Moum, William Forsyth, Jiri Kylian, Liam Scarlett, Alexander Ekman, as well as large scale classics by Balanchine, Nurejev and Cranko to name but a few.  

Klara joined Nagelhus Schia Productions for a secondment in Spring 2019, as a dancer in the main company’s cast for Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui’s Orbo Novo.
